Meet Joshua D’Lucca
Born in Toronto and proudly carrying Brazilian roots, Joshua D’Lucca is a 16-year-old driver whose connection to racing was formed long before he ever sat behind the wheel. As a lifelong car enthusiast, engines, speed, and competition were always more than interests — they were a language. From a young age, Joshua was captivated by the way machines and humans could work together at the limit, where control, courage, and precision intersect.
At just 14 years old, that fascination transformed into commitment when he discovered karting. What began as curiosity quickly became clarity. The track felt natural. The pressure felt motivating. Racing wasn’t just something he enjoyed — it was where he felt fully present. From that moment on, Joshua knew this wasn’t a phase or a hobby. It was a path.
Inspired by legends like Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna, Joshua races with a rare balance of discipline and emotion. He studies the craft, respects the history, and understands that true performance is built through patience and repetition. Yet, he also races with heart — embracing the intensity, the risk, and the responsibility that comes with pushing beyond comfort. His dreams stretch across continents, toward iconic circuits like Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, a track that symbolizes everything he admires about motorsport: challenge, legacy, and respect earned through performance, not words.
Currently competing in league nights at K1 Speed and Orlando Kart Center, Joshua treats every session as an opportunity to sharpen his skills and mindset. Wins are appreciated, but improvement is the real objective. That mentality revealed itself early in his career. In his first professional race, Joshua finished P9 out of 50 drivers in the Pro League B Finals Round 1 — a result that carried more meaning than numbers alone. It was proof that he could remain composed under pressure, adapt quickly, and compete against experienced drivers without losing focus.
Guided by the philosophy “Smooth is fast, fast is smooth,” Joshua believes that consistency, control, and clarity separate good drivers from great ones. He doesn’t chase shortcuts or overnight success. He chases progress. Every lap is a lesson. Every mistake is data. Every race is another step forward.
His ultimate ambition is clear: to compete at the highest level of motorsport, whether that journey leads to Formula 1 or the World Endurance Championship. But beyond titles or categories, Joshua’s real goal is growth — becoming sharper, stronger, and more disciplined than he was yesterday, every single day.
