Meet Gabriel Payne

Gabriel Payne’s racing journey began about four years ago at 3RK in Pittsburgh, where indoor karting first introduced him to the thrill of competition. What started as a new experience quickly turned into something much bigger. From there, Gabriel took the next step to Pittsburgh International Raceway, competing in rental series and continuing to develop his skills. The turning point came when he won an arrive-and-drive opportunity in a LO206 kart — a moment that pushed him deeper into the sport and set the direction for everything that followed.

Since then, Gabriel has built an impressive record. With multiple wins, numerous podiums, and strong championship finishes — including two runner-up titles and a third-place overall — he has proven his ability to compete at a high level. Winning at five different tracks, Gabriel has also shown a natural ability to adapt quickly, learning circuits fast and maximizing performance in new environments.

Now entering his third year in karting, Gabriel is stepping up from the Junior class into the Senior category, ready to take on a new level of competition. For him, this transition is more than just a move up — it’s an opportunity to grow, challenge himself against more experienced drivers, and continue refining his craft with every race.

Inspired by drivers like Tyler Reddick and Max Verstappen, Gabriel values both respect and competitiveness on track. He admires the balance of composure and intensity — racing with control, but always with the instinct to win. That mindset shapes the way he approaches every session: focused, disciplined, and always pushing to improve.

Looking ahead, Gabriel’s goal is to compete in the GT3 category within IMSA, continuing to climb the ladder as he develops his skills and experience. For him, racing is about constant growth — building speed, sharpening racecraft, and becoming the best driver he can be.
