Meet Rayner Mendez

Rayner Mendez’s racing journey may have started recently, but the dream has been with him for as long as he can remember. A lifelong fan of motorsport, he always imagined himself behind the wheel, but the opportunity to race competitively didn’t come until 2023. The moment he experienced karting for the first time, everything changed. What had been a childhood passion instantly became a goal worth chasing.

In January, Rayner took the next step by joining the K1 Speed Teen League, where he quickly proved he belonged. In his rookie season, he earned multiple podium finishes and even defeated the 2025 State Champion — milestones that reinforced his belief that he could compete at a high level. Now, with his endurance karting debut on the horizon, he continues to build momentum and push himself with every race.

Inspired by Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso, Rayner has shaped his approach around two of motorsport's greatest competitors. In fact, his racing number is a tribute to both of them, combining their iconic numbers, 33 and 14. From Verstappen, he has learned the importance of remaining calm under pressure, a quality that has become one of his greatest strengths behind the wheel.

Looking ahead, Rayner dreams of competing in world-class endurance championships such as IMSA or the World Endurance Championship, with the Gridlife Rush Series serving as an exciting first step toward that future. His focus remains simple: continue learning, continue improving, and continue proving to himself that every dream is worth pursuing.
